Roxanne

Hello! My name is Roxanne. I am from the mountains of Western North Carolina and have a passion for travel. I love spreading knowledge to others and enjoy learning in return! Communication is very important to me as I like engaging in conversation with others to better appreciate our similarities and differences. My hobbies include playing music, drawing, reading, and playing Sudoku. When I’m not busy, I like to go on hikes with friends and family!

In May of 2021, I graduated from UNC Asheville with a Bachelor’s in Music. Later that year, I received my TEFL certification in October and learned about teaching English through the Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) methodology. Therefore, I follow the PAP/PPP format of teaching where I try to get my students to do most of the talking in the classroom by asking questions. I also place an importance on sharing our cultures with each other because I believe that every culture should be valued and respected.
